“HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD” BY LOUIE GIGLIO

He (Louie) was talking about how inconceivably BIG our God is… How He spoke the universe into being… How He breathes stars out of His mouth that are huge raging balls of fire..  Etc. Etc. Then He went on to speak of how this star-breathing, universe creating God ALSO knitted our human bodies together with amazing detail and wonder. At this point I am LOVING it (fascinating from a medical standpoint, you know.)  And I was remembering how I was constantly amazed during medical school as I learned more and more about God’s handiwork. I remember so many times thinking..’How can ANYONE deny that a Creator did all of this???’
Louie went on to talk about how we can trust that the God who created all this, also has the power to hold it all together when things seem to be falling apart…how our loving Creator is also our sustainer.

And then I lost my breath. And it wasn’t because I was running my treadmill, either!!!

It was because he started talking about laminin.. I knew about laminin.. Here is how Wikipedia

describes them: ‘Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue’ You see…. Laminins are what hold us together… LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them, we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I didn’t know is what they LOOKED LIKE..

But now I do.  And I have thought about it a thousand times since (already)….Here is what the structure of laminin looks like… AND THIS IS NOT a ‘Christian portrayal’ of it…. If you look up laminin in any scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see….

Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!!  Amazing.  The glue that holds us together…. ALL of us….. Is in the shape of the cross.  Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind.

‘He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible And invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or Authorities;    All things were created by him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him All things HOLD TOGETHER.’                                         Colossians 1:15-17

Call me crazy. I just think that is very, very, very cool. Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those words. And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held together… One cell to another…. By the cross.

You would never in a quadrillion years convince me that is anything other than the mark of a Creator who knew EXACTLY what laminin ‘glue’ would look like long before Adam breathed his first breath!!

Try to Google it… Sit back, close your eyes and think about it… AWESOME!!!

Here’s a prayer…

This is another message from Linda’s Schubert’s prayer group. I can see this happening as I interact with different prayer groups online and in programs that are developing like Society for Return to Honor. Thank you God for hearing us and answering our prayers… I know you are doing bigger and greater things then I can even imagine. Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit…

…Jesus… Jesus… Jesus… pray for Japan repeating the Holy Name of Jesus… this also ask God to deliver the world from impending ruin. We can save our countries and save society. Right now dreadful sufferings are crushing many countries and still greater evil threaten others. If we want peace to come we need to call on the Name of Jesus, place all our confidence in this all-powerful Name, repeating it constantly with boundless trust. …Jesus …Jesus …Jesus …
This is another very powerful way to pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” THE LORDS PRAYER

What is the kingdom  like in heaven?

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven  and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband.

We serve a caring and generous God. Think about the outpouring of blessings from His throne, and ask How will I respond today? He needs nothing from you, but He wants every part of you, not to ruthlessly control you but to show you the riches He has in store for you.

Dear children;
My motherly heart suffers tremendously as I look at my children who persistently put what is human before what is of God; at my children who, despite everything that surrounds them and despite all the signs that are sent to them, think that they can walk without my Son. They cannot! They are walking to eternal perdition. That is why I am gathering you, who are ready to open your heart to me, you who are ready to be apostles of my love, to help me; so that by living God’s love you may be an example to those who do not know it. Jesus… Jesus… Jesus…  I’d rather have Jesus than anything… Lord God, I thank you for the changes that is bringing our country back to you. I ask for your divine intervention in our, in the worlds shortage of food and the ever increasing  prices…

Then he said to his disciples, ‘That is why I am telling you not to worry about your life and what you are to eat, nor about your body and how you are to clothe it. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Think of the ravens. They do not sow or reap; they have no storehouses and no barns; yet God feeds them. To our Bountiful Father above… we trust in you!

Precious Lord Jesus, I thank you for your enduring love. You came into the world to set me free from the power of darkness. You embraced a violent death on the cross to pay the penalty on my behalf. You suffered the scourging at the pillar, taking the sickness of humanity upon your own flesh, so that I could be healed.
I come before you now to place all my sin upon your cross and ask for your precious blood to wash me clean. I place the penalty for my sinfulness, all my sickness, diseases and infirmities upon your cross, and for the sake of your sorrowful passion, I ask to be set free. I accept your sacrifice and receive your gift of reconciliation. I confess your Lordship over every aspect of my life, heart, mind, body, soul and spirit.
Through the power of your cross Lord Jesus, I now resist all forms of sin, sickness and disease. I say to all forms of sickness, obesity, and disease caused by my own disobedience, that you are not God’s good and perfect will for my life, and I enforce the power of the cross upon you right now.
By the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command all forms of sickness, obesity, and disease to leave my presence immediately. Jesus bore my infirmities. He was wounded for my transgressions. By his stripes I have been healed. No sickness, pain, death, fear or addiction shall ever lord over me again. The penalty has been paid in full. I have been ransomed and redeemed, sanctified and set free. Amen.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O good Jesus, hear me; within your wounds, hide me; let me never be separated from you; from the evil one, protect me; at the hour of my death, call me; and bid me to come to you; that with your saints, I may praise you forever and ever.
