How do I Dedicate…
When asked… how do we dedicate to Mary?
St John Berchmans replied in the following remarkable words:
‘Any devotion, however small, provided it is constants.’
These words came from this holy young man as he was dying and his friends had asked him to tell them what devotion they could perform which would be most agreeable to our Blessed Lady.
And in these words, St. Alphonsus di Liguori explains that the Hail Mary is the most pleasing to Our Lady…
“This angelical salutation is most pleasing to the ever-blessed Virgin; for, whenever she hears it, it would seem as if the joy which she experienced when St. Gabriel announced to her that she was the chosen Mother of God, was renewed in her; and with this object in view, we should often salute her with the Hail Mary.”
St. Louis de Montfort said,
“We must choose among all the devotions to the Blessed Virgin the one which will lead us more surely to dying to self.”
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
Our Country…
PRAYER TO HEAL OUR LAND
Lord, who are we as a people, having been given blessings
in portions as no other nation before us? What has become of us, Father? We have spoiled your spacious skies with buildings and cities breathing with sin. The amber waves of grain are no longer viewed as our blessing but as our due. The awe and reverence due You when we gaze upon the purple mountains and their majesty is no longer held; rather, how much pleasure they can give us.
Father, we have spurned You. We’ve blamed our problems on those who promote darkness, but You gave us time with Your Mother. Now our eyes have been opened by Her. Our lack of holiness, our not being light has allowed darkness to prevail. Indeed, our sins which we wrongly view as small have allowed those in darkness to commit great sins without shame. We now realize it’s because of our failings as Christians. Father, Samuel told your people, “It is true you have committed all this evil, still you must not turn from the Lord, but worship Him with your whole heart. For the sake of His own great name, the Lord will not abandon his own people.” Father, we come before You with our whole hearts and ask You to grant Our Lady Her intentions. Mary, we do not deserve to even be heard, yet we know Your Son’s passion merits that we are. Mary, we call You as You have called us. Please, intercede before God to forgive us, to heal us, to heal our families, and to heal our nation. Father, grant Mary’s intentions and hear Her pleas for us. We
know you are justly irritated with us but we beg and plead for forgiveness through our repentance from our hearts. We realize our nation is headed toward disaster by so many signs You have given us. Holy, Holy, Holy God, grant Mary Her requests that we may again be your people, not a nation above God but one nation humbled and under God. Amen

JESUS…
Jesus, Thank you, for your grand love for us, that by way of the Cross we are redeemed. Thank you that we receive the Holy Spirit, Father, that we are never alone, that the powers of heaven are within us and for us. Father, Thank you, that we are forgiven, for your Mercy and for your Love. Grant us today your peace, that all we touch prospers, that all we meet along this path sees you and we plant seeds of your Love, that your Garden prospers, your Flock expands, that your Children come home. We are in your hands, under your control, Heaven is rooting us on, helping us reach victory, fighting on our behalf, removing burdens, restoring our health, our finances, providing jobs, growing business, protecting our children, restoring marriages, morals and the truths of our Father. Your control, that which is meant to prosper us, for our success, for your Good, returns to us, for we your children, turn to you, expectantly, waiting, as your hand washes away the burdens, the trials, the lies of this world. Jesus, in your name, we pray, and in your name we lift Praises, for we are Thankful and we are Grateful. Jesus, in your name, Amen
Lord hear our prayer…
God, My Father
“God, my Father in heaven, You are all mercy.
You love me and see my every sin. God, I call on You now as the merciful Father. Forgive my every sin. Wash away the stains on my soul so that I may once again rest in complete innocence. I trust You, Father in heaven. I rely on You. I thank you. Amen.”
This prayer came from the messages from Anne, a Lay Apostle; a message came from “VOLUME THREE” Part One: God the Father Speaks to His Children
The Candle Tells Us
“O God, had we beheld the beauty, the majesty of the countenance of that divine Child, could we have ever had courage to sacrifice His life for our salvation?” St. Alphonsus di Liguori
“Christ himself says, ‘I am the light of the world.’ And we are the light, we ourselves, if we receive it from him…. But how do we receive it, how do we make it shine? …[T]he candle tells us: by burning, and being consumed in the burning. A spark of fire, a ray of love, an inevitable immolation are celebrated over that pure, straight candle, as, pouring forth its gift of light, it exhausts itself in silent sacrifice” (Paul VI
When I pass the crucifix, I will ask myself, would I have the courage of the Blessed Virgin Mary? Would I offer the beautiful baby knowing…
“But he was wounded for our iniquities, he was bruised for our sins: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his bruises we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
A Candle Light
The candle light is an act of faith and charity—the light is
a symbol of the sacrifice you have made in behalf of someone else—and it is a silent reminder of your prayers for them.
What a Burning Candle Means
A burning candle is a symbol of selfless generosity. It stands so unwavering in its place, so erect, so clear and disinterested, in perfect readiness to be of service. It stands in its appointed place, self-consumed in light and warmth. Yes, of course the candle is unconscious of what it does. It has no soul. But we can give it a soul by making it an expression of our own attitude.
Stir up in yourself the same generous readiness to be used. “Lord, here am I.” Let the clean, spare, serviceable candle bespeak your own attitude. Let your readiness grow into steadfast loyalty. Even as this candle, O Lord, would I stand in your presence. Do not weaken in or try to evade your vocation. Persevere. Do not keep asking why and to what purpose. To be consumed in truth and love, in light and warmth, for God is the profoundest purpose of human life.
